Contact Smart Cards
The smart card contains a chip pad which connects to the smart card reader when inserted in, extracting information from the chip. All energy is supplied by the card reader. There are different standards for the contact smart cards, differentiating between size and functionality. (ISO/IEC 7816 and ISO/IEC 7810)
